BACKGROUND
IsraAID, founded in 2001, is a non-profit, non-governmental organization committed to
providing life-saving disaster relief and long-term support. For over a decade, our teams of
professional medics, post-trauma experts, and community mobilizers have been first on
the front lines of nearly every major humanitarian response in the 21st century. As of
2022, we have led missions in 55+ countries.
Our mission is to efficiently support and meet the changing needs of populations as they
strive to move from сrisis to reconstruction/ rehabilitation, and eventually, to sustainable
living.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Act as the main point of contact for the organization's programs in the Balti region.
• Ensure coordination and facilitation of data collection, analysis, and monitoring for
programs, avoiding duplication of efforts and resources.
• Oversee the monitoring of programs through written reports and online platforms,
identifying any issues and proposing solutions.
• Establish and maintain effective partnerships and collaborations with local NGOs and
stakeholders, promoting program visibility and impact.
• Ensure participation of IsraAID's representatives in regular Cluster meetings and
effectively communicate IsraAID's activities in the region.
• Represent IsraAID's vision and mission in line with the organizational vision and with
guidance from the Head of Mission and/or Region Coordinator.
• Collaborate closely with the program team and IsraAID international teams to design
appropriate data collection tools and methodologies, including baseline and end line
surveys, interview and focus groups' protocols, and others, providing translation support
when necessary.
• Contribute to the improvement of IsraAID's organizational MEAL approach, procedures,
methods, and templates, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing
changes as needed.
• Assist in the development of MEAL plans to measure and evaluate program progress and
effects, detailing indicators and measures, and selecting appropriate data collection
methods, interview and focus groups' protocols, and others, providing translation support
when necessary.
Requirements:
degree in international development, emergency management, social studies
or other related fields.
Fluent in English and Russian – MUST, Ukrainian and Romanian - Advantage
Humanitarian experience - at least two years
Proven experience in program management, design, implementation,
monitoring and evaluation (MEAL)
Good familiarity with Moldova’s public sector and civil society
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment,
and meet deadlines
Ability to synthesize complex information and communicate it effectively to
diverse backgrounds and scenarios
Willingness and ability to travel independently and internationally
Computer proficiency in Windows environment (Microsoft Word, Excel,
Access, PowerPoint); Strong preference to comprehensive and advanced
knowledge of Excel
Ability to write clear and coherent assessment
Ability to effectively represent the organization when liaising with other
stakeholders.
Team player, collaborative and with the ability to work with people of diverse
academic and cultural backgrounds.
